The study aimed at investigating the casual labors activities and primary needs satisfaction of tea pickers in nkungu sector. The research questions included: How do tea pickers benefit from the tea plantation at Nkungu sector? And how does tea plantation in Nkungu sector contribute to the increase in the welfare of the tea pickers? While the objectives of the study were: the casual labors activities and primary needs satisfaction of tea pickers in nkungu sector.&#13;
Theoretically, the study focused on the Social and welfare Development theory which entails a set of social changes resulting from the convergence of tea plantation in Nkungu sector, Economic Development theory advocates for the increase in economic wealth and well-being of individuals (tea pickers).
