| dc.description.abstract | The study concerns with analyzing the relationship between students engagement and student performance in Biology, case study G.S Gitaburaza (2019-2021). The study was guided by the following objectives: to identify the contribution of the students‟ engagement and student performance in sciences particularly in Biology. To find out the relationship between students engagement and student performance in sciences particularly in Biology. To examine the challenges faced by students engagement and student performance in sciences particularly in Biology. The study adopted descriptive research design both qualitative and quantitative data were collected via the help of questionnaires and interviews. The target population of this study was either students, teachers and staffs of G.S.Gitaburaza. The sample size was 107 respondents selected from G.S.Gitaburaza. The research instruments were designed to obtain data from the questionnaires, interview and review of documents. There was a need of data processing consisted by editing, coding and tabulating. All the ethical issues were considered.
