Abstract:
HIV and HBV share the routes of transmission, as a consequences infection with Hepatitis B Virus are expected to occur in HIV infected patients. The co-infection of Hepatitis B Virus with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus have become a major health care problem as it complicates the clinical course, management and therapy for HIV infection. Hence it is important to identify
them as early as possible. HBV and HIV infections shared common routes of transmission, therefore should be a specific program to screen for HBV among HIV infected patients, such a program currently doesn’t exist in referral hospital
