dc.description.abstract Background: As many as 450 million people worldwide are estimated to be suffering at any given time from depression. Worldwide it is estimated that lifetime prevalence range from 12.2% to 48.6% of people suffering from depression without seeking mental health service(Benti et al., 2016). Barriers to mental health intervention globally remain a health concern. However, these are more prominent in low and middle income countries. The barriers to accessibility to mental health services include poor awareness, fear of stigmatization, social cultural and religious influence, and geographical accessibility and affordable influence. en_US
